Trans Forest Expedition of the Trans County Trail
May 21-24, 2005
What?
· Sign up to hike across the concept route of the Trans County Trail on the Cleveland National Forest
When?
· Saturday (May 21) through Tuesday (May 24)
Where?
· Starting at Lake Cuyamaca and ending on Wild Cat Canyon near Barona Valley…the itinerary is as follows:
o May 21: Cuyamaca to Boulder Creek
o May 22: Boulder Creek to Saddleback
o May 23: Saddleback to Featherstone Christian Camp
o May 24: Featherstone to Wildcat Canyon
Why?
· To facilitate the personal understanding of key agency cooperators of the concept route across the Cleveland National Forest.
· To promote awareness of and support for the Trans County Trail.
How?
· Contact Chris Nyce, the Recreation and Lands Officer on the Palomar Ranger District, at cnyce@fs.fed.us or 760-788-0250 ext. 3325 and he will send you more information on the agenda and answer any questions that you may have.
· Go to http://www.sandiegoriver.org/tct/ and pay $50 to the San Diego River Park Foundation for food and logistics
· Attend a mandatory pre-trip meeting…date TBA.
